The Leave-It-Alone Strategy, Now and Then

Why not let Obamacare fail on its own?

Why not let it fail like a lifeless stone?

 

Why now at this juncture try to defund it?

Says me, yours truly, your very own pundit.

Why now struggle at this time to repeal it?

Its muddles will soon be enough to reveal it.

We will in time know it for what it is,

An unworkable piece of government biz.

 

Maybe then we can reverse it,

Maybe then we can even disperse it.

By November fourth of twenty fourteen,

People about it will be far less serene.

But you ask,  is that too late,

to reverse its ultimate  fate?

 

The law will by then be going full throttle,

Can we then put the genie back in the bottle?

If not now, when?

Can we wait until then?
