Obama Language - Obama’s Gift of Gab
President Obama declared today that “a sense of purpose that transcends petty politics” must be forged by Democrats and Republicans to create more jobs, reduce the deficit , and find at least some common ground on health care.
“Obama Urges Setting Aside ‘Petty Politics.’ New York Times, February 9, 2010
President Obama has the gift of gab,
He's now goneinto political rehab.
He’s great when talking about collab,
To at bipartisanship to take a stab,
To engage in a health care confab,
He’s ever ready to lift the federal tab.
That’s why Republicans are dubious,
And regard his rhetoric as spurious.
What Obama regards as politically petty,
May be no more than partisan confetti.
