IRS and Obamacare

No matter what your politics, these facts are indisputable.

·         The IRS is the most powerful agency of the federal government,  effecting  every American.

·         During the 2010- 2012 political campaign,  IRS officials targeted more than 500  conservative political groups, including those with Tea Party,  Patriot, and 9/12 in their names,  requesting tax-exempt status . The IRS did not approve their requests while approving tx-exempt requests from liberal and progressive groups.  IRS national leaders knew of these targeting activities in April 2010 and  June 2012, but took no actions.

·         From conservative groups, the IRS demanded donor rolls, membership lists, data on all contributors , names of volunteers, and copies of all speeches made by members, minutes of meetings, , and copies of all material handed out to members.

·         The IRS audited political activists who opposed the administration,  including Dr. Hal  Scherz, a George physician who criticized Obamacare.

·         The IRS is not “independent,” as described by President Obama.  It reports directly to the President, who appoints the Commissioner of the IRS.

·         Obamacare will vastly expand the powers of the IRS, requiring the hiring of 1,954 full-time agents  who will write and enforce Obamacare regulations, including the Individual Mandate and the compliance of all businesses and individuals to the law's various provisions.   This is the greatest expansion of the IRS in the last 20 years and will entail 47 major changes in the tax code.

·         The new IRS powers will require all individuals to submit health information, in addition to the 1040 form, as well as all insurers, self-insured businesses, and all those covered by government programs, which in turn, will required vast new computer programs to combine income information with health information.

·         Sara Hall Ingram, who headed the IRS  tax-exempt organizational unit, which targeted conservative groups and who received over $90,000 in bonuses for her "exemplary" work,  has been promoted to lead the IRS Care Act Office, which will oversee Obamacare's new tax credits, payment of new taxes, and enforcement and compliance with Obamacare.

·         President Obama, who says he is simply a detached bystander hovering above but not attached to  or responsible for  his agencies,  says he is shocked, outraged, and angry about the IRS actions,  He read about it in the papers,  just like you.

If you are confused by these IRS machinations, Obamacare-generated  IRS expansion, and the Obama response,  remembers this;  “D.C.” stands for “Darkness and Confusion.”
