Obamacare:
Don’t Believe Your Lying Eyes
Who
are you going to believe? Me or your lying eyes?
Groucho
Marx (1895-1977)
October
22, 2012 - When
it comes to Obamacare, don’t believe
that what you see is what you get.
Believe what Obama says, not what
you see with your lying eyes.
Remember what Walter Matthau said in the 1967 film “A
Guide for the Married Man.” When his
wife caught him in bed with a glamorous stranger,
his wife said, “What are you doing? Who is that woman?”
“What woman?” he calmly replied, as his glamorous bedmate
dressed and left.
Matthau continued to say, “What woman?” "What woman?"The wife finally gives up and minutes later is
asking him what he wants for dinner.
The moral here is Deny! Deny! Deny! Sooner or later,
your skeptics will not believe what they saw with their lying eyes.
Don’t believe you lying eyes,
·
when you read that 55% to 67% of
Americans polled say they don’t favor the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and
either want it repealed or think it has been repealed already;
·
when your health care premiums have
increased by $2500 instead of going down by $2500 as promised;
·
when well-known consulting firms and the
business community ( small businesses or corporations, or the American Chamber
of Commerce, The Federation of
Independent American Businesses, The
Business Roundtable, Investors Business Daily, and The Wall Street Journal) tell you again and
again that businesses, small and large, aren’t hiring because of the uncertainties and perceived high costs
of Obamacare;
·
when survey after survey of American
physicians, who number about 1 million, indicate 6 of 10 would retire today if
given the opportunity and another 6 of 10 say they are advising their children
or other young people not to enter the medical profession;
·
when the Association of American Medical
Colleges, and countless other prestigious organizations, tell you in print that
a calamitous doctor shortage is imminent and will only relentlessly grow
through 2025;
·
when the Affordable Care Act has a
provision that an unelected board of government-selected “experts” , the Independent
Payment Advisory Board, will dictate
what to pay physicians and what they can order;
·
when you read that same act will cut
$716 billion out of Medicare to fund Obamacare and that the new law has 121
provisions that tax on providers and consumers, including the middle class, by $500 billion;
·
when the health law recommends that care
be ideally provided through government-controlled “accountable care
organizations” designed to base care on collective “population health” studies
and outcomes, rather than on what individual
patients and their doctors choose.
Don’t believe your lying
eyes ob what you see and read and experience.
Believe what ihas been promised and has yet to be adequately explained and
communicated.

it comes to Obamacare, don’t believe
what you see in the present on the ground but what is promised and yet to
come in the future.
